Amber Wright, CPNP, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner and graduated from Arizona State University with her masters of science degree in nursing in 2009. She also completed a post-master's certificate in positive behavior support at Northern Arizona University in 2014. Amber currently works in the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic at Barrow’s Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and has worked with children with special needs for over 15 years. She is also the co-director of Barrow at Phoenix Children’s Multidisciplinary Down Syndrome Clinic and has been involved since its inception. Within this role, she provides comprehensive care to address the medical, developmental and behavioral needs of children with Down syndrome within a team-based model.
Finally, in addition to serving a leadership role as president-elect for Arizona’s chapter of National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), she is also a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (SDBP), National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC), Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group (DSMIG-US) and Sigma Theta Tau.
Amber sees patients at our Glendale, Avondale, and Phoenix locations and provides telemedicine support to patients and their families via Flagstaff Medical Center.
