Mary Johnson, MD is a board-certified neurologist with an emphasis in child neurology. Dr. Johnson attained her medical degree from John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating she completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at John Hopkins Hospital. She also completed a residency in Pediatric Neurology at St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri.
After her residency, Dr. Johnson was a professor in Pediatrics at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri for more than a decade. Before arriving at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Dr. Johnson was a professor at the University of Arizona - College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona and University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque.
Dr. Johnson practices all aspects of pediatric neurology with a special interest and expertise in fetal alcohol syndrome, developmental disorders of the newborn, Tourette Syndrome, childhood migraine and the mechanisms of nervous system injury in child abuse.
