Cerebral Palsy Program

The Cerebral Palsy Program at Barrow at Phoenix Children's is a comprehensive collaboration between the Pediatric Movement Disorders Program, the Frances H. McLelland Rehabilitation Program and the Herbert J. Louis Center for Pediatric Orthopedics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. With the support of the Bubba Watson PING Motion Analysis laboratory at Phoenix Children's, we are able to provide interdisciplinary evaluation and management services for patients with cerebral palsy and related disorders.

We carefully match the needs of our patients to the expertise of our providers. Some children may be best served by a single specialist, such as in our Pediatric Movement Disorders Center, while others may require a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to manage their care.

The Cerebral Palsy Program at Barrow at Phoenix Children's is proud to be a part of the Cerebral Palsy Research Network. The network brings top children’s hospitals together with the goal of defining and achieving gold standards of treatment for children with cerebral palsy.

For those children with complex health care needs, sometimes the best way forward is not obvious. For this reason, we offer the Complex Cerebral Palsy & Tone Management Clinic. This consensus clinic combines the expertise of subspecialists in rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurosurgery and neurology in order to provide expert consultation to determine the best treatment for a given child, synthesizing medical, surgical and rehabilitation therapies.
