Aida Hadziahmetovic, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. She joined Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's Hospital in September 2014. Dr. Hadziahmetovic obtained her medical degree at the University of Banja Luka, Medical School in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1990.
Dr. Hadziahmetovic completed her internship, residency in general psychiatry and a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Maricopa Integrated Health Systems in Phoenix, Arizona. She was chief resident of the child psychiatry fellowship program for six months. She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association. Before arriving at Barrow at Phoenix Children's, Dr. Hadziahmetovic worked in private practice in Arizona. Dr. Hadziahmetovic has worked in community mental health for 14 years.
