The POP tour includes walking around to the different areas including the admitting office, waiting areas, pre-operative area, playroom, and an inpatient room upon request. It will also offer an opportunity for your child to learn more about the pre-operative experience through a presentation of pictures to help them better understand what they can expect through a step by step process. They will be given time during the presentation to play with and explore some of the safe medical supplies they will encounter such as a stethoscope and anesthesia mask so that they feel more comfortable with them on the day of their surgery. If you would like to schedule a POP tour, please contact the surgery Child Life Specialists at 602-933-1540 or email@example.com to reserve your place.
